Of all the companies we have featured in our collection posts, Midori might be the oldest and most established. The Japanese stationery designers have been making letters, greetings cards, colored papers and stickers, and creative design products since 1950. Their longevity speaks volumes. With a clear focus on aesthetics and materials, they've consistently been able to produce beautiful, environmentally conscious, award-winning products for well over half a century.
Speaking of awards, we recently bought the Midori PULP storage, which won a Good Design Award in 2015. It's a small, stackable storage unit, perfect for keeping pens, business cards, and random office supplies in order, and with a deceptively simple design, an ode perhaps, to the classic Japanese appreciation for minimalism. It's also a wonderful example of sustainable production, made entirely from old newspapers and waste paper.
