This afternoon, Libros Mutantes will kick off its three day book fair at La Casa Encendida, Madrid. We were there last year and picked up a copy of Solo, a beautifully designed magazine that feels more like a book. Printed by Publications For Pleasure, a small independent publisher based in Barcelona, Solo is dedicated purely to the worship of good coffee. Inside its pages you'll find an almost religious appreciation of the humble coffee bean. There are articles on its cultivation on Colombian farms, the roasting process, and eight different recipes for you to try at home. It’s the perfect accompaniment to your daily cup of joe.
For all you book lovers, Libros Mutantes is a celebration of the weird and wonderful world of independent publishing. This weekend’s events include conferences, book and magazine launches, live music, and workshops. Or you could choose to simply wander around the stands in a book-induced delirium.
Either way, come and join us!
